About me
Hell0 I'm David
My interest in psychotherapy comes from a genuine curiosity about people, how we think, how we cope, and how we change. I have always been drawn to understanding what sits underneath behaviour, the emotions, experiences, and patterns that shape who we are.
Alongside my personal experiences and ongoing learning, I have come to understand how complex and individual each person’s story is. I do not believe a single part of their lives can define people. I hold a deep respect for the different ways people survive, adapt, and make sense of what they have been through.
What matters most to me in this work is connection. I value being present with someone in their experience, without judgment, and taking the time to really understand what things feel like from their perspective. I believe that when someone feels safe enough to be heard and understood, it can create the foundation for meaningful change.
I try to work in a way that is grounded, human, and relational. I pay attention to what is said and what is not said, and I aim to meet people where they are, rather than where they feel they should be.
I am committed to continuing to grow, both personally and professionally, and to staying open, reflective, and present in how I work with others.
Experience
I have several years of experience working in mental health settings, supporting individuals with a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioural challenges. This experience has given me a strong understanding of complex needs and the importance of approaching each person with patience, consistency, and respect.
I have worked closely with people in distress, helping them to feel heard, supported, and more able to make sense of what they are going through. Over time, this has strengthened my ability to build trusting relationships and to respond calmly and compassionately, even in challenging situations.
Approach
My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in genuine human connection. I believe that meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be fully themselves, without judgment or pressure to be anything different.
I work in a way that is present, thoughtful, and attuned to each individual. I pay close attention to both words and emotions, and I aim to understand each person’s experience from their perspective. I see therapy as a collaborative process in which trust and relationship are central.
I do not take a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I meet people where they are, respecting their pace and their unique way of making sense of the world.
